Good Morning Beautiful Sisters!
Happy Yom Kippur! I knew last night was going to a very POWERFUL and very ANOINTED night of study but the Lord always goes FAR BEYOND what I can ask or imagine!!! How AWESOME that we have our study on God’s holiest day of the year! Rabbi Noah Weinberg said…”the entire world is God’s message of love to us. Yom Kippur is the time when we are most open to receive that message.“
Indeed, God’s grace was flowing like a mighty river to open hearts last night. I felt it in every fiber of my being. We were so blessed to have two beautiful new ladies with us...Renee’s mother-in-law Barbara and Cathy, a Senior at GRACE. It was also wonderful having Liz back with us last night. We sure have missed her! For those of you who could not be with us we covered you with an abundance of love and prayer.
We began our study with a big GOOD MORNING! Why Good Morning? Did you know that the Jews begin their day at 6pm? REST is so important to God that He begins His day with it! God begins His day with REST. We have it backwards in our Western Culture. We begin our day with work and end with rest. I think this why so many people have trouble sleeping at night. Rest should come first not last. So when we begin our study at 6pm on Wednesday God sees it as Thursday morning. At 6pm we begin our day with Him. Let’s get on God’s calendar! Let’s start our day with REST, not stress!
Yesterday was Yom Kippor, also known as the Day of Atonement. It is #6 of the 7 Jewish feasts. Its central themes are atonement and repentance. Jewish people traditionally observe this holy day with an approximate 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services.
There are 7 Jewish Feasts (Lev 23)...4 in the Spring (fulfilled with Jesus 1st coming) 3 in the Fall (will fulfill in His 2nd coming).
What is the importance of these feasts in your life as a Christian today? And how does this knowledge keep you in PEACE?
The Lord’s Feasts reveal God’s redemptive plan:
SPRING FEASTS...fulfilled in Jesus 1st coming.
1) Jesus dies on Passover. Occurs on 14th day of New Moon.
2) Was buried during Unleavened Bread. Begins on 15th day of Nisan & ends on 21st.
3) Was resurrected during First Fruits. On 16th day of Nisan.
4) The Holy Spirit was poured out on Pentecost bringing in the great harvest. 50 days after First Fruits. (in between the Spring & Fall Feasts there is a gap called the Church Age...age you & I are living in now).
FALL FEASTS ...holds the mystery of what is yet to come.
5) Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). Jewish New Year. Many believe Rapture will occur during on this 2 day feast. Blowing of trumpet is to remind God of what He promised. Starts on 1st of Tishrei (7th month on Jewish calendar, holiest month of year). This feast is about Repentance. Next 10 days are known as The High Holy Days, also known as the Days of Awe.
6) Feast of Atonement (Yom Kippur) Day of Atonement, Day of Cleansing.
On 10th day of Tishrei. This feast is about Redemption.
7) Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) Day of Happiness. On 15th day of Tishrei. Celebrating the end gathering...all harvest is in. They dwell in booths for 7 days remembering their time in the wilderness. Booths symbolize cloud of glory which hovered over the tabernacle. This feast is about Reconciliation with God.
Grace Gives, Faith Takes and Peace Keeps. Peace keeps what Grace gives. The feasts remind us that God GAVE us His Son. They remind us of John 10:10. We keep our PEACE we when are focused on Him and not ourselves or our problems. David was able to keep His peace when fighting Goliath because he did not TALK about the giant or himself. He talked about HIS GOD.
God gave His people the FEASTS to keep them in continual remembrance of HIM. The Feasts all point to JESUS. Keep your eyes on HIM and you will stay in PEACE. “The God of Peace will crush the enemy under your feet.” (Romans 16:20)
Did you come here tonight to find peace? To get rid of the stress and anxiety that is overwhelming you?
The world is looking for health and peace in all the wrong places. Two things we are going to discuss tonight to keep in peace & healthy. Stress is the #1 killer of people around the world today. Stress is a by product of unbelief...of not trusting God. Jesus gave us 2 STRESS BUSTERS that are not being utilized in the body of Christ today... Praying in the Spirit and Communion.
Nuggets of Truth:
*When you find Jesus you will find YOU because God put you in HIM.
*New Affirmation: I’m a blessing magnet!!!
*Christianity without the cross is a religion.
*Your mouth is the door to your salvation. Fear happens when the door that is your mouth is shut.”
*Grace gives you the ability and power to behave wisely when people are ugly to you.
*Redemption begin with our minds. We suffer in our thoughts This is why Christ was crucified in a place called Golgotha meaning skull. He wore a crown of thorns which represents the curse. There was never a thorn before Adam sinned. Jesus took your curse of depression, bad thoughts, evil imaginations and paid it ALL at the cross so He could crown you with His peace that passes all understanding. Receive that peace in Jesus name. It’s paid for. People who are of the world, those who are spiritually bankrupt, who don’t have a revelation of who Jesus is will say he died as a martyr. They didn’t take his life. He GAVE His life. It was OUR sins that put Jesus on the cross.
After prayer and a little insight to the importance of the Lord’s Feasts we read our devotion entitled “Restoring your Health”. I will send this devotion via Mail Chimp later this week. Staying in PEACE is key to a healthy body and mind. The Lord wants us to partake from the Tree of Life which is found when we take communion. Breaking bread is a wonderful sacrament that God has given us. When you take communion like it’s a ritual there is no power to heal. It simply has not been understood by the Church. God gave communion to us to RESTORE OUR HEALTH. The health that Adam enjoyed before the fall. When you take communion you must discern between the wine and the bread. Most Christians are not discerning the difference between the two therefore they are not reaping the health benefits in their bodies. The wine represents Jesus’s blood...the forgiveness of our sins. Our health is in the bread which represents Jesus’ body that was broken for us. John 6:51 says “I am the living bread which came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” In Hebrew “life” here is “Zoe” which means physical life here on earth...not eternal life. Adam and Eve brought disease, cancer, arthritis, heart disease, etc. Death came as a result of Adam and Eve’s fall. Jesus said if you want LIFE it is found in my flesh. Jesus is the bread of life. He is saying“eat my bread and you will live till the rapture.” John 6:48-51 says “This is the bread that comes down from heaven, that one may eat if it and not die.” Every time you take the bread and discern it it brings an infusion of Zoe life into your body. We should be partaking every day with discernment. Sit down, have your prayer time and take communion. And speak it out loud. (Proverbs 4:20-21). As the word settles into your heart you start believing it in yourself and the healing manifests. The bread represents the BODY of Christ that was broken for us, beaten for us and bled for us (Luke 22:19). Jesus said to His disciples…”Take this in remembrance of me. I AM the bread of life. I am the way, the truth and the life.”
SAY: “This bread represents the body of Christ and I take it today for my healing. Thank you Jesus, by your stripes I am healed.” As you eat the bread think about what He did for you. You eat the bread as the broken body of Jesus. We rob ourselves of the provision if we fail to discern the Lord’s body. Jesus was broken for our health. Not discerning the Lord’s body when we take communion is the biggest problem in the body of Christ today.
SAY: ‘This juice represents the blood of Jesus that was shed for me. Thank you for your blood that covers me. The blood that washed away all of my sins. The blood will never lose its power in my life.”
Do you see Jesus’ body when you take Communion? Or do you see a piece of bread and a cup of wine?
The bottom line is this my friend...
The Lord’s Supper is the answer to life and wholeness. It is the proof of our healing. We don’t take communion to get healed...we take it to remind ourselves that we are ALREADY healed. Corinthians 11:30 clearly tells us that we get sick and weak because we are not partaking of the Lord’s supper. Often, the Lord’s supper heals you increasingly, gradually, But many times we give up before it manifest. If you are battling symptoms in your body or have been given a negative report from the doctor know that healthy and healing are yours through Jesus’ finished work. Healing is our inheritance in Christ. The Word of God tells us by His stripes we are healed. God gave you The Holy Communion, His ordained channel, to break free from everything that is keeping you in defeat. You should be taking it everyday to reign over sickness, depression and all kinds of long term conditions. You can exercise until the cows come home and eat a clean, organic diet but none of it has the power to keep you healthy. We live in a fallen world and the answer to getting healthy and staying that way is found in taking communion. Jesus is the key to every problem in your life... is the key to your health, your broken marriage, your financial lack. It’s time we start taking God’s revelations seriously. Start taking communion everyday discerning what Jesus has done for you. It is the most potent medicine you will ever take. Taking of the bread together will strengthen your relationship. It will unite your hearts. Great to take after a quarrel, a major setback in a marriage. Take communion together and forgive one another. It will heal your heart. Marriages are failing in the world today because hearts aren’t united. They see themselves as individuals and their love is not giving. Jesus will restore it ALL!
We then plunged into Chapter 11 “Above All Things Guard Your Heart”. So many people today are looking for peace in all the wrong places. People are countering stress in all kinds of destructive ways today which often lead to addictions and life complications. God’s way to counter anxiety and walk in His peace is far better. It is powerful, costs us nothing and has NO side effects! It is called the rest and the refreshing...Praying in the Spirit. (Isaiah 28:11-12). You can pray in the spirit when you are in the midst of your problems and when you don’t know how to pray. When you pray in the spirit you build yourself up. 1 Corinthians 14:4 says “He who prays in a tongue edifies himself." Your body is the temple of God and this is God’s way of repairing His temple. Boosts your immune system 35-40%. You get full of grace and peace by praying in the spirit.
When does trouble come in our lives? When we are not at REST! When we are wrought up in worry & fear. We find the answer in Deuteronomy 28:65-67. "And among these nations shalt thou find no EASE (raga), neither shall the some of the foot have REST (manuakh)" There is only one verse where "raga" and "manuakh" appear in a positive sense. It is in Isaiah 28:11-13..."For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people to whom He said, "this is the rest (manukau) with which you may cause the weary to rest (nuakh). And, 'This is the refreshing'; yet they would not hear." It is the believers R & R. Your R & R is not dependent on peaceful surroundings, nice environment, beautiful music...all this helps when you’re on vacation but you need something solid when you’re going through hard times. When you are freaking out and have a trembling heart. When you pray in the spirit you will find rest and refreshing. Tongues is an expression by the spirit in different languages, languages of angels and man. It’s a spiritual weapon that when you use it you do not feel differently. Many times when you’re praying nothing seems to happen but something most definitely is. You’re tapping into the river. This is a gift the world does not have. It is the first gift God gave to the Church on Pentecost, the day of its birth. He gives you the prayer language of the Holy Spirit. He have us his BEST. It will tame and humble your mind because the mind is always the boss. It must “understand.” The Bible says not to lean on our own understanding. You don’t have to understand everything to enjoy it. Your mind is slow. Your spirit is lightning fast. Your spirit can catch things long before your mind can understand it. When you are praying in tongues you are activating your spirit. That is REST. You don't have to close your eyes while praying in tongues. You can be driving, cooking, playing sports, etc. We should pray in the spirit everyday. It is the absolute best way to handle stress & worry. The very minute you feel an anxious thought start praying in tongues.
Dr. Carl Peterson, psychiatrist at Oral Roberts Uni., conducted an experiment on people's brains studying the physiological effects of praying in tongues. This what what he concluded: "As we pray in the Spirit, there is activity that begins in our brains. As we engage in our heavenly language, the brain releases two chemicals that are directed into our immune systems giving a 35 to 40 percent boost to our immune system. This secretion is triggered from a part of our brain that has no apparent activity in humans." Only those praying tongues activate this part of the brain. There is no medicine, no homeopathy, no alternative medicine, no exercise... there is NOTHING that gives the immune system a 35-40% boost!
Did you know that your immune system can swallow any tumor that is forming in your body if it is strong?
The peace God gives comes from inside your heart. It’s a peace that only Jesus can give that is rugged, strong, abiding and not affected by outward circumstances. As spend time with Him we are filled with His peace and what begins on the outside will start affecting our circumstances on the inside. Years ago, the Lord told Joseph something that grew into one of the cornerstone messages of his ministry. He said…”If it’s a miracle you need, a miracle you will get...if you remain at peace.” God was telling him that his part was to guard his heart and not guard all of the situations around him. And as he guarded his heart and did not allow it to be troubled, He would take care of the situations and every other area of his life. He would even bring about a miracle if he needed one.
We must be very careful of the words we speak as our WORDS CONTAIN POWER. Proverbs 4:20-23 tells us to pay attention to the words that will follow as they are LIFE to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Right after this it tells us to “guard our hearts with all diligence.” Out of our heart flows the issues of life. Isn’t it a relief to know that God has GOT YOU? That you can just lean on Him and trust Him to take care of you? And when He does, it’s so perfect that you can’t add to it.
The story of the Shunammite woman is one of the most powerful stories in the Bible.
When her young son died she did not tell her husband what had happened but that she was going to look for the prophet Elisha. In the midst of this crushing scenario she simply said…”It is well.” (2 Kings 4:27). This phrase in Hebrew means “shalom.” She just kept declaring and confessing “It is well.” Even though her emotions were in great turmoil, she did not speak what she felt, nor did she say anything about her child’s death. She spoke PEACE. She used her mouth to TAKE, by faith, her miracle. The Bible tells us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). One of the ways you can guard your heart is by guarding your mouth and changing the words you speak. When things in your life may not be going as planned, speak forth His SHALOM. When fear and anxieties are overwhelming you say “My heart will not be troubled. Jesus is with me.” Take Communion, Pray in the Spirit, bring your requests to God and allow His peace to guard your heart. Keep holding onto His promises and hiding them in your heart. As you remain in His shalom peace get ready for good things to happen. Get ready for your miracle!
The enemy will try and get you to shut your mouth and not speak the promises of God. Your mouth is the door to your salvation. Fear happens when the door which is your mouth is shut. Romans 10:9 tells us that we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts and we will be saved. You do not have to speak what you see in the natural. Guard your mouth and fill it with the unshakable truths from God’s Word and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart.
We ended our night with Communion and prayer. Communion is the answer to life and wholeness. He gave it to us to restore our bodies, our minds and our hearts. I challenge each of you to a "30 day Communion Challenge." I am going to take it in the morning by myself and again at night with my family.

Monthly financial partnership is important as it helps us to teach God’s truth, heal hearts and bring hope to broken lives.
Event will be held at a beautiful model home in North Ridge Country Club (compliments of Wendy & David Schenck) from 7-00-10:00. Event planners and coordinators: Wendy Schenck, Jen Ward and Tracey Margosian.
Evites coming soon!
Next week we'll be covering Chapter 12 entitled "Peace in your Conscience." This is an IMPORTANT one. Until you have a settled peace in your conscience, you cannot freely receive what the Lord Jesus has purchased for you at the cross. Please answer the questions in the study guide and meditate on the scriptures in this chapter. I look forward to seeing you next week sisters! Shalom!!!
