5.1.19 RECAP

Good Morning Beautiful Sisters,

Are you riddled with guilty thoughts and feelings? Are you punishing yourself for sins in your past?

Our souls are wounded from hurtful things that others have done to us, but often the greatest wounds result from our own personal sin and the effects it has had on our minds, emotions and the way we see ourselves. The good news is that God already knows everything we have done, are doing and will do and has forgiven us. He helps us to cleanse it from our souls. An important part of our healing is to receive His forgiveness and  to forgive ourselves. Tonight we will explore how to do that. We will discover how to let go of the blame. It is important for us to stop accusing ourselves for past mistakes. Romans 1:8 promises that there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ. Jesus did not come into the world to condemn it, but to save it. (John 3:17)

Chapter 12 “The Wounds of Sin” is an important one as unforgiveness, self blame and self condemnation are at the root of so many of our problems. So many people have parked at the point of their pain because of what others have done to them and what they have done to others. They are living in bondage to their pain and don’t know that God offers a new beginning. God wants to change your heart, change the heart of the one you hurt and heal the wounds you both have.

During this study, we let go of the blame, shame and guilt from our past. Hebrews 7:25 says that no one is beyond God’s reach. There is no pain so deep that God’s love cannot heal.

Sherry :-)
