11.07.18 Recap

Good Afternoon Sisters,

What an incredible night!!!  I had one plan and the Holy Spirit had another! His way is ALWAYS better! He took us to a higher and deeper level last night. I truly don’t remember a lot of what I taught the first part of the evening as His words flowed through me, but I do remember the impact it left in our soul. The Holy Spirit knew exactly what each of us needed to hear to open our hearts to receive from Him.  Within just minutes of starting the study the Lord moved us into a circle praying for a sister in pain and it was powerful.  I can’t capture it in words but I know that strongholds were broken. We did it ALL last night. Lots of prayer, lots of sharing, lots of tears, lots of laughter, lots of love, lots of praising and rejoicing for what we experienced.  For those of you who could not be with us we covered you with an abundance of love and prayer.

This week was a tough one for me and my family. A week filled with lots of tears, pain, growth, change, revelation, restoration, and finally victory.  Although trials are difficult in the moment I have grown to really appreciate them as I know that the Lord uses them for our good. He uses them to strengthen us and to elevate us to places we could not go without them.  He turns our stumbling blocks into stepping stones. This week was also also a great testimony to the power of love of true sisterhood. Sisters you do life with. Sisters you can be real and raw with. Sisters who are like minded and pray you through it.  Sisters who lift you up out of the pit and remind you that you are a victor and that God turns your mess into a miracle. I shared two of the trials last night and explained how God had worked through the pain to bring restoration into a relationship with my aunt and how God had protected my oldest daughter from making a bad decision.  This prompted others to share stories. Renee...I LOVED your story about your conversation with the lady about your back. Next week we have another powerful story to share. We had a ministry leadership meeting at my house this past Monday morning and something happened that led to deliverance from an emotional wound. You don’t miss next Wednesday as you’ll want to hear this one in person.

This week’s study is entitled “Hear Your Way to Victory”.

I believe this is one of the most important chapters of our study as it contains a message that will keep giving to you.  Everything that we receive from God comes by FAITH. Faith is the currency of Heaven. How do you get faith? Romans 10:17 says that “faith comes by hearing the word of Christ.”  Faith doesn’t come when we hear about the law. It doesn’t come when we hear a list of do’s and don’ts we have to fulfill or we have fallen short of the law’s perfect requirements. Faith comes when, despite knowing that we have failed and missed the mark, that we can still receive the abundance of grace and God’s gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17) and begin living a victorious life.  Faith comes only ONE way and that is by hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing the word of Christ. God wants us to focus on HEARING. Each morning I start my day by hearing a message by Joseph Prince. As you listen to preaching on the power of the cross you are healed from anxiety, depression and afflictions. You HEAR your way out of the pit! No wonder people followed Jesus everywhere to hear Him. Luke 5:15 tells us that “great multitudes came together to hear and to be healed by Him of their infirmities.”  They came to hear and be healed.  This is the blueprint of God. We HEAR the teaching and preaching of Jesus, and we are healed.

Do you need healing in your body? In your relationships? In your finances? In your emotions?

Sisters, it doesn’t matter what your affliction is or what mountain you are facing.  They ALL have to bow before the name of Jesus because “He is far above all principality, power, dominion and might and every name that is named” (Eph 1:21).  As you keep hearing preaching about our Lord Jesus, get ready for your miracle to happen.

Make a habit out of listening to sermons on grace. It is a simple yet powerful way to receive God’s blessings.  It’s not always easy because of our “busy” lives, but if we don’t make use of it we are allowing ourselves to be robbed.  The devil tries to get you distracted and make everything else a priority in your life.  The truth is that HEARING has to be your #1 priority as it is what empowers you to handle life’s trials. Start listening to messages on grace and faith will come.  And don’t make the mistake that just because you have heard a few sermons about God’s grace you know all about it. It is not enough to have heard.  Each time you hear a message you get fresh revelations.  As you hear, your faith is being built, as there is food for your faith.  If there is a particular sermon that speaks to you, listen to it over and over again. The more you listen to it, the more you meditate on it, the more you’ll get out of it. You will miss things when you listen to a sermon only once. Tremendous breakthroughs are received simply by listening the gospel of grace over and over again.

How does the enemy attack our faith?

The moment you hear the Word of God, Satan comes immediately to try and take away the Word that was sown. He doesn’t want God’s Word to stay in your heart even one day as he knows how powerful the seeds of God’s word are once they take root. He knows the truth of Mark 4:17 “When tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble.”  You see the fight is not against Satan directly but is the fight to believe that God has given to us. We fight to walk by faith and not by sight!  This is why it’s called “the good fight of faith.” When we are in faith, the enemy is defeated. Every attempt to get us to worry and stress is an attempt to knock us from our place of faith in Christ. Fear causes us to focus on the problems we can see...in the news, at school, at work. Faith helps us to focus on what God sees...beyond the physical symptoms, beyond the bad news. Anything that you can see with your natural eyes is temporary. 2 Corinthians 4:18 tells us that “the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Is your mind weighed down by worries and cares?  The best thing you can do is saturate yourself with the Word of God. You will hear your way out of the pit!  Keep on hearing and hearing! While you’re getting ready for work, driving in the car, waiting in carpool, making dinner, cleaning the house, plug in your earphones and listen to Christ filled sermons.  If you’re having trouble sleeping play sermons really softly throughout the night on your speakers. Kent can attest to this! He does this every night and sleeps like a baby.

Don’t underestimate the power of hearing. It may seem simple, but God works miracles by the hearing of faith. God is constantly supplying blessings to us.  Our part is to let go, listen to His Word and let His supply flow.

Our Ministry Christmas dinner is on Wednesday, Dec. 12th at 6:00.  This will be a sweet night of food and fellowship. Please bring a covered dish to share.

We are approaching the end of our study on “Live the Let Go Life”.  Next week we are on Chapter 16 which means we only have five chapters to go.  Please answer the questions in the study guide and allow the Lord to minister to you through the truths in His Word.

Listen to the Word this week sisters!  Faith comes by HEARING the Word of Christ!

Breakthroughs and miracles are on their way!

Love,

Sherry :-)
