Are You Under Attack?

Are you under physical, emotional or financial attack? Are you tempted to give up under the pressure? Do you just need some relief?
There is GOOD NEWS for you my friend! God’s blessings will always outlast your trial! Whatever the battle is you are currently facing it will only last for a season! Don’t be discouraged! Don’t throw in the towel! There is nothing wrong with you! It is quite the opposite in fact…there is something very RIGHT with you and this is why you are under an attack! You see, the heavier the attack is on you…most likely you’re being set up by God for a greater blessing. The attacks are not from God. Did you ever wonder how Satan knows how and when to attack you? Certainly, your words play a key role whenever you are in the midst of a battle. But there is more. The enemy can SEE what the angels of God are preparing for you in the invisible (supernatural realm). He can see what they are doing for you. The devil himself is a fallen angel and he can see the flurry of activity around you and can see how God is preparing a greater blessing for you. The enemy is afraid because he sees this flurry of activity and wants to stop you from being blessed. He cannot read your mind and he does not know the will of God for your life. He is not as smart as some people credit him to be. All he knows is that by looking at what the angels are preparing you for in the supernatural realm he is afraid that God might do something great in your life. So the heavier the attacks the greater God’s blessings will be. So you must NOT GIVE UP! You are washed by the blood of Jesus and YOU are going to be a great blessing to many people! God’s blessing will always outlast your trial! God’s grace is greater than the trial! You must remember that the battle is only for a season. Whenever the devil attacks you he is taking a BIG risk because if you know how to respond in faith, trusting in God’s love for you, you will come out on a HIGHER LEVEL.
Take the nation of Israel for example. They were at attacked during Yom Kippur (in Oct. 1973), their day of atonement, a religious feast day. They were attacked by their enemies from all sides and were not prepared for war, but nonetheless they fought back in faith. God caused them to not only defeat their enemies but gave them more land than they had before the attack! Just like the nation of Israel, when you get attacked if you will respond in FAITH you will get more ground. God will raise you to a higher level and give you MORE than you had before the attack! He is a good and loving God! This is the purpose of your struggles my friend! Your struggles are absolutely essential to bring you to that next level! If the devil didn’t attack you there would be no opportunity for you to go to a higher plane. Satan attacks you to destroy you but God’s grace (unmerited favor) is greater than his attacks. God turns what Satan meant for your harm into your good! God uses our setbacks as SETUPS to give us something greater. Opportunities always come wrapped in opposition. Our faith is grown and strengthened through our trials.
Before Adam fell from grace in the Garden of Eden he was in charge of the entire garden. But now because of the blood of Jesus, we are not only joint heirs with Christ but he gave us control of the whole universe. This means that you have authority over Satan! You simply have to realize the impact of Jesus’ blood on your life. God will always bring you to a higher ground. If your marriage is under attack and you will trust in God’s faith and not give in God will bring your marriage to a higher level. How do you trust in God’s faith? By reading and hearing His word. Stand on His promises as opposed to your circumstances and what you can “see” in the natural. Consistently pray and thank God for his strength and guidance during the trial. Then meditate on His promises throughout your day.
Do you feel condemned? Do you hold guilt in your heart over past shortcomings and mistakes?
Did you know that Satan’s favorite line of attack is on your MIND? It is an inward attack on your conscience. He wants you to make you sin conscious. He wants to remind you of all the wrong things you’ve done and thought. He wants you to feel guilty and condemned. God wants the opposite. He wants you to be FREE of guilt & condemnation. He wants you to be “Christ conscious” and NOT sin conscious. Please, please listen carefully to the following truth my friend…you are not forgiven by the knowledge of your sins but by the knowledge God has of your sins. Therein lies your deeper peace. This is why the Israelites put the blood on the “outside” of their doorposts for God to SEE not for the man and his family to see. (God says when “I see the blood I’ll pass over you.”) In other words, it’s not what you know about your sins that matter but the fact of what God knows about your sins and how God knows the perfection of the blood of Christ to REMOVE them for time and eternity! You don’t have to understand everything about the blood of Jesus. In that knowledge you rest. You’re forgiven based on the knowledge God has in the value of the blood that His son shed. The blood covers ALL your sins…past, present and current. It has eternal value! His sacrifice is GREATER than your lifetime of sins! Satan wants to keep this powerful truth from you because he knows that when you understand this his inward attacks of guilt and condemnation will not work on you. Satan uses guilt and condemnation to destroy you physically, mentally and spiritually. Peace comes when you know that you have been completely and totally forgiven!
When you are sin conscious you are saying that the sacrifice that Jesus made didn’t work. Why are believers sin conscious today? It is because of the lack of accurate teaching…the lack of proclaiming the glorious gospel of Christ. No matter how many times you’ve failed or will fail you are covered by the blood of Jesus and are forgiven eternally. Every child born into this world today is born with “sin consciousness”. God has written (Romans 2:14-15) the Ten Commandments on the heart of every child. We are all born into this world with the law born on our conscience. We all instinctively know right from wrong. When we are born again we reborn in our spirit and become a new creation in Christ. We must renew our minds with the word of God’s grace so that we can replace our sin consciousness with Christ consciousness. This is essential if we want peace and happiness in our lives. If you live in sin consciousness today you are insulting God and saying that the blood of Jesus is not enough. Sin consciousness also opens the door to many bad things in our lives. Look at the life of Job. Job 1:1-5 says that Job would rise early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for his sons. Job had a strong sin consciousness about his sons. He was constantly worrying about them. He worried that they were sinning against God in their hearts. Sin consciousness can warp our minds and destroy our relationships. Many Bible theologians say it was “fear” that brought the destruction into Job’s life but I believe that fear was the “fruit” and not the root. The root was much deeper. The root was sin consciousness. This is the reason God told Adam not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Man got his conscience from the wrong tree! God is the only one who can handle good and evil. Look at the state of our upside crazy world today and this point is easily made. It is our conscience that causes us to feel condemned and separate ourselves from God.
The good news for you and I today is that we, unlike Job, have the light of Jesus shining in on us to show us how perfectly removed our sins are. Job lived in the days before Jesus and he had no advocate before God. WE DO! We are so blessed to have Jesus as our high priest! He stands in the gap before us and through his blood we are righteous before God! Is that great news or what? This my friends is why we call the gospel the GOOD NEWS! No longer do you have to feel guilty or condemned about ANYTHING! As Jesus said….IT IS FINISHED!!!
God did something at the cross that many of us do not fully understand or comprehend. If we did we would have peace in the midst of our struggles…our days of struggles would end and we would have no more depression in the midst of our conflicts. Did you know that the greatest apostle of all time experienced the same struggle that YOU and I experience today? Romans 7 talks about Paul and his conscience. He talks about how he does bad when he wants to do good. I believe that this is the “thorn in the flesh” that Paul refers to. This is a struggle of the person born again. In Romans 8 he says something very profound…”there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ.”
What happened from Romans 7 to Romans 8? In Romans 8:1-3 he gives us the answer…”For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin.” He condemned sin in the flesh. What is sin in the flesh? It is not your actions and deeds. His blood not only took care of our sin actions and deeds but he took care of our “inward propensity for evil.” These are those evil thoughts that we think…”where in the world did that crazy thought come from?” We all have them and Satan uses them to make us feel guilty. We must realize that as long as we live in this body on this earth we will have “sin in the flesh”. (Our bodies will not be fully redeemed until Christ comes back) We can’t eradicate “sin in the flesh.” God did not eradicate it…He condemned it! This is very important for you to understand. When “sin of the flesh” rises up today God has condemned it so that it has no power over you before God. It has no power to separate you from God and His blessings. When it rises up and the evil thoughts come into your mind from seemingly nowhere just stay in peace. Remember that they have NO power to condemn you before God or cut you off from His blessings. It was ALL taken care of in the body of Jesus Christ! When God condemns something it means He doesn’t see it anymore. It means it cannot separate you from Him. When you don’t have this knowledge and you have wrong thoughts you start condemning yourself. Jesus, with His blood, deprived those wrong thoughts of their power. So the next time one of those nasty little thoughts enter your mind simply say out loud…”Jesus took care of that! No guilt here! I’m free to live in peace!”
Stand strong in the midst of your storm today my friend! Your situation may look impossible. God specializes in cases that look too big, situations that the world says have no chance. Stand firm on the promises of God knowing that your storm is only for a season! Rest in the promise that God will bring you to the other side… bigger, better and more prosperous! Look at your struggles as an opportunity for God to radically bless you! The bigger the struggle you’re facing right now the bigger is the blessing God is preparing for you!
Start THANKING God that your breakthrough is on its way! You are coming out of lack and struggle. You are coming into your Promised Land with great health and abundance. At this very moment God is using the enemy's stumbling block as a stepping stone to promote you to higher ground. The enemy will not have the last laugh...YOU will! God has the final say! And He says you are coming out better, stronger, with MORE than you had before. God is making YOU an example of HIS goodness!
God Bless You!
In Christ, Sherry :-)
