Do you need a miracle? How is your miracle connected to the 39 stripes of Jesus?

What is the significance of 39 stripes? Whipping a person 39 times was the standard Roman practice/tradition they inflicted on their prisoners. In 2 Corinthians 11:24, Paul speaks of receiving “forty lashes less one.” Jesus took the 39 stripes for YOU! He took the brutal scourging on His body for YOU! He endured them for your salvation, your healing, your deliverance, your sanctification, your protection, your righteousness and your eternal inheritance.

There are 39 major diseases in the world, cancer being one of them. Every stripe Jesus took on his body took blood from Him. The blood will work for you today the same way it worked for people centuries ago. The power is in the shed blood of Jesus. It is HIS blood that enables us to rule and reign over disease, depression and every problem and affliction we will ever face.

We need to plead the blood not only for salvation and healing but for EVERY problem we have. Plead the blood of Jesus over EVERY aspect of your life. Plead the blood of Jesus over decisions you have to make regarding your finances. Decisions over your marriage plead the blood of Jesus. Like my grandmother used to do, plead the blood over your children and grandchildren. Demons run when we plead the blood of Jesus!

At age 10 Pastor Tommy Combs was attacked in his body. He was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. Doctors told his parents that the disease had destroyed his liver and he would die within a week. He went into the hospital on Thursday night. On Sunday morning Oral Roberts host of “The Healing Hour” came on TV. During that program Oral would put his hand up to the TV screen. The camera would zoom into his hand and he would say “if you need healing touch your hand to my hand on the TV screen.” In faith, Tommy’s mother put her hand on the screen of this little black and white TV sitting beside the bed. She placed her other hand on Tommy’s stomach and said these words out loud “God heal my boy and I’ll give him to you.” (1 Samuel 1:27 “I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.”) Both his mother and grandmother pled the blood over him. Instantly, the power of God came into that hospital room. It was like a blue mist rolling into the room. It was so powerful that it knocked his mother to one side of the bed and his grandmother to the other of the bed to the floor! Tommy raised up out of bed. Jesus walked up to the bottom of his bed and their eyes locked. In that instant he got a brand new liver...one second healed by the blood of Jesus.

How did the nurses and doctors react? An entire team of doctors and nurses came in and ran numerous blood tests. They found absolutely NO traces of hepatitis in his bloodstream! His liver was totally clean and perfectly healed by the power of God. The doctor said to his mother and grandmother...”God has healed your son.” Can you imagine how the faith of one woman changed the lives of not only her son but all of the doctors and nurses who witnessed the miracle?

Did you know that there is such wonder working power in the blood of Jesus that there is supernatural protection? Do you remember the covenant God made with the Israelites regarding the blood they were told to put on their doorposts? We can do this today! We NEED to do this today! It should be done as we walk through the rooms of our home pleading the blood of Jesus over it, over the protection of our property, over the protection of our business. God will honor that. Not only is there salvation, deliverance and healing in the blood there is supernatural protection for you, your children, your home and your business. You can put oil on the bottom of your shoes so that every where you walk is protected. The oil represents God’s grace to do supernaturally what you cannot do in the natural. If we want supernatural results in our lives we have to have kingdom thought. God’s ways are higher than man’s and He does things differently.

Once the Israelites placed that oil on their doorposts the angel of death could not touch that home. It was supernaturally protected by the blood. Put oil on your shoes and walk your property line. Walk into your children’s rooms. Stomp your foot and declare out loud “devil you can’t come on this property. Angels are welcome here but you are not! Healing can come on this property. Financial abundance can come on this property.” Joshua 1:3 says “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.” Every place you put your foot the promises of God are going to be there!

The devil hates Isaiah 53:5 which promises “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we ARE healed.” Notice it says ARE healed...not should be, not could be, not might be but ARE healed by the 39 STRIPES of Jesus!

Have you tried this and tried that, gone here and gone there, read this and read that and nothing has worked? It’s time that you PLEAD THE BLOOD! It’s got to get back to the point in our lives that we pleading the blood... that we understand that all of our “reasoning and logic” cannot deliver us.

Has modern science been able to raise a person from the dead? The wonder working power of the blood has and IS all over the world today! A woman in a city in the deep jungles of Peru experienced this miracle. Pastor Tommy was doing a meeting in Iquitos, Peru and had a packed stadium of 15,000 people. 3,000 were saved that night. A lady had died at about 4 pm that afternoon. Most of the time they would bury their dead the next morning. The husband of the lady and her son bring her to the meeting... they are at the back of the stadium. Tommy had no idea she was there. Her corpse is lying on a handmade cot. They get there around 6 pm and she stays there until 10:30 at night. At 10:30 Tommy is ending the prayer line where he is praying for people. God is doing miracles among the people so fast that Tommy calls them “popcorn miracles”. They bring this lady to him and he asks what’s wrong with her and they reply “she is dead.” He asks the father and the son why they would bring her to him. In faith they said “So God can raise her up.” Tommy knelt beside her and began to pray. “I take authority over death in the name of Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus right now.” He blew in her face and she opened her eyes and sat up. He then said “if you’re gonna sit up stand up!” She then stood up. They had church until midnight praising Jesus! She is alive today! Just like Jesus raised Jairus’ 12 year old daughter from the dead (Mark 5:21-43)... just as He raised this mother from Peru from the dead...Jesus is raising people from the dead all over the world today because we are pleading the blood over them! Jesus defeated DEATH at the cross! That same power lives in Tommy to raise people from the dead lives in YOU and ME! In John 14:12 Jesus says “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

My dear friends...this is HOW the early church operated. Today so many people are leaving our modern church because there is no power there. The Holy Spirit is not welcome there therefore God’s love and glory is not being manifested. We have been become a society who believes in the natural more than the supernatural. We must SEE it before we will believe it. We have been hoodwinked by the enemy to believe in our reasoning and logic. If we can’t understand it with our minds and make sense of it within our own limited brains and knowledge then we doubt it. Just like the Pharisees we are elevating our own wisdom above that of God’s. God’s kingdom is the exact opposite of the world’s. Hebrews 11:1 says faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see. In other words, in God’s kingdom you must believe before you see! Remember, God’s thoughts are above man’s thoughts and His ways above man’s ways. If we want God to put His “super” on our “natural” then we must get on HIS page, not expect Him to get on ours. HE is the creator and we are the created ones. We have it backwards.

If you are sitting there thinking... “I just don’t believe that. I don’t believe people can be raised from the dead." then you will never experience the wonder, miracle working power of God. The Bible is FULL of these miracles! The currency of Heaven is FAITH. It is more valuable than anything on this earth as it has the power to restore, resurrect and bring wholeness to any aspect of your life! He wants to bring healing to your body, to your dreams, to your finances and to your relationships. Faith is the one thing that God requires in order to bring deliverance into your life. Faith is what brings your healing from God’s heavenly realm into your body. The bottom line is this...on this earth you will get exactly what you BELIEVE!!!

What about other areas can we apply the blood in? How about your finances? Take your checkbook, lay it on your table and please the blood over it. You and your spouse come into agreement and plead the blood of Jesus over your money situations. Before you make a financial decision pray about it and plead the blood over it. Use some wisdom and let God lead and guide you on that situation. The power of blood brings financial miracles. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. (Hebrews 9:22) Eternal life we can have when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. My friend, have you accepted Him?

2018 is the year of popcorn miracles! It is the year of breakthrough! Miracles will be happening rapidly all over the earth! The year believers will PLEAD THE BLOOD! Millions of people throughout the world will be instantly healed and delivered! Just like that 10 year old boy got a new liver and was healed in a second so will many others! Through Christ people will become spiritually empowered, equipped and energized. God will break the terrifying grip of fear and torment, Through His 39 stripes many will defeat oppression, addictions and sickness. Ministries like ours will create the atmosphere of miracles. We are in the season of Grace ..the season where God's blessings will overtake us. Those who choose to BELIEVE will RECEIVE!

My friend...are you ready to PLEAD THE BLOOD over your situation? Do you know that it is God’s will to heal you, to deliver you from your situation?

Will you choose to BELIEVE? He loves you so deeply and it is desire for YOU to be healthy, whole and full of peace and joy.
