Your seat of authority

How do you have peace and victory in the midst of turmoil?  How do you use the authority God has given you?

We are living in some serious times. We see discord, division, uncertainty and evil engulfing our nation.  Many people are looking to our government and a political savior to redeem our country. They feel helpless to reverse the cyclonic downward spiral our country is rapidly descending in and are seeking worldly answers for a spiritual problem.  Perhaps we should use the wisdom of our founding forefathers and seek our answers from the book from which our great republic was built. Our nation is only ONE of two nations in the history of the world that was built on Judeo Christian principles. This is the thing that makes our nation so great. As Americans we are blessed to live in a country built on the principles of the supernatural book of the Bible…both the Old and the New Testament. We are a country dedicated to our Lord Jesus Christ.  We have sent out more gospel than any other nation and we have seeds that are coming up all over the world that are bringing glory to God.  THIS is why Satan and his army of demons are fighting so hard to destroy us.  Ephesians 6:12 clearly tells us that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”  How else do you explain WHAT is going on in this crazy world today? The insanely evil acts you see going on in the world can only be explained through this scripture. Satan knows this and is desperately trying to hide this powerful truth from us. The reason Satan has worked so desperately to change our history books to reflect lies is to hide our true identity from us.  He doesn’t want us to remember WHO WE ARE and WHY God birthed our nation because it is this understanding that will empower us to take our seat of authority over him and DEFEAT him!

Does it seem like things all around the globe are heating up? It’s not your imagination my friend.  They most certainly are!  Satan knows his time is limited and he is ramping it up because he knows that we’re getting close to the rapture of the church.  But the good news is that he has already been defeated by the blood of Christ.  He just doesn’t want you to know that he’s been defeated.  

How do we fight against the devil in our personal lives? How do we cast him out of our country?

The answer is in Matthew 16:19. God tells us that He has given us authority and dominion over Satan and all of his works and purposes.  So WHY aren’t we using it?  We’re not equipped for battle because there is a famine of God’s word in our land.  We are spiritually starving. The last 50 years Americans have spent more time in the world than we have in the word and we have not been trained for times such as these. It’s that simple. You magnify what you focus on. You focus on the world you become like it. You focus on Jesus you become like Him. In the early days of our country Jesus was in our government, He was in our classrooms and He was in our homes.  He was the glue that held the very fabric of our nation together.  Today, He has been removed from our daily lives and is an afterthought. We have replaced our solid rock of Jesus with lives built on the sinkable sands of the world. But there is GOOD NEWS!  It can ALL be turned around with a change of focus!  Let’s focus on the ONE who can turn this ship around!  Let’s take the authority and dominion that God has given us over Satan and FIGHT BACK!  Let’s reignite the passion of our forefathers and kick Satan and his army of demons out of our homes and out of our nation! 

Jesus is the only one that had victory over Satan.  What makes you and I think we can have any victory over Satan WITHOUT Jesus? He promise is simple…if you stay in your seat of authority in these days ahead you will have victory and you will live in peace and not fear.  We need to ask ourselves the following questions:

Are you bolder than the devil?

Are you bolder than a spirit that is always trumped by the name of Jesus? (the name of JESUS always trumps Satan!)

Will you recognize what Jesus did to defeat Satan and his works and purpose?

Will you ignore and disregard the victory Jesus paid a high price to give you? Or will you appreciate it and incorporate it into your life on a daily basis?

Will you take full advantage of it and use the authority and dominion He has given you boldly?

Will you SPEAK out loud of your mouth God’s word of victory and defeat over your mountains? (Proverbs 18:2)

Should we be fearful of what is going on today in our culture and in our world?  NO!!!  1 Peter 5:7-8 “Casting all of your care upon Him; for He cares for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking who he may devour.”  Jesus tells us not to be in fear but to be vigilant.  We’re meant to grow and understand what our seat of authority means. Satan is looking for the fearful and those ignorant of the word. He is not a roaring lion, but is posing as one! He is looking for someone who doesn’t know their identity.  Say out loud “I am not one of those who can be devoured.  I know my authority and He’s under my feet.” You are not alone my friend!  Satan tries to attack each of us with his army of demons and influence in the world.  The important part is the resistance! James 4:7 tells us that when you submit to God and resist the devil he must flee from you. Stand up against the enemy and he WILL GO!

The bottom line is this…if you believe God’s Word and act on it, it will work for you.  If you don’t it won’t.  Our nation is suffering from spiritual malnutrition and that is the root of everything that is wrong in our lives.  Once Jesus is put back everything else will fall into place (Matthew 6:33).  We are promised that when we seek the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness all of the other things we seek (peace, prosperity, health and joy) will be added onto us.  My prayer today is that you would know how greatly loved you are by your Father and take the authority and dominion that is rightfully yours.  The power is in YOUR MOUTH to defeat the enemy in every area of your life (Proverbs 18:21).  The choice is yours my friend!  Choose LIFE!
