women of Faith: Virtual Wednesday Nights

Good Morning Sisters,

Tonight we begin the next phase of our journey together. Our Women of Faith study starts tonight @ 7:00 pm. Our prayer nights (this month) are on Thursday and Sunday. 

Our study is “A Shepherd’s Look at Psalm 23”, by Phillip Keller.(may be purchased through Amazon ). The Lord led us to this study right before quarantine and now we know WHY!!! It is for NOW and is for YOU my beloved sister.  It is a psalm of protection and provision. We will start from the beginning.

In 63 days our Father has prepared our hearts to receive the fresh manna in this study. The book is written by an actual shepherd. Keller gives deep insight into why the Lord likens us to sheep. I believe as we go through this book TOGETHER the Lord will reveal and impart WISDOM, PEACE, INSIGHT and DISCERNMENT that we will NEED to navigate through this new age.

We will walk through each verse of the 23rd Psalm, making it come alive and thoroughly understandable as Keller explains how an actual shepherd cares for his sheep and making the analogy of our Good Shepherd who takes care of us. Each week we will cover one chapter. We will do one chapter per week. Please read Chapter One for tonight's study. Bring your Bibles and a notepad to take notes.  

There is no way for us to fully understand the diligent care of a shepherd unless we hear it from a real shepherd. Author Phillip Keller is intimately acquainted with the life of an Eastern shepherd as he made his livelihood for about eight years as a sheep owner and sheep rancher.The author has assigned a chapter to each verse and gives a very insightful lesson on his perspective as the role of a shepherd. He will give us modern day city dwellers a whole new look at the well-known and loved...but often misunderstood 23rd Psalm. As you know the free service we use through Zoom cuts off at 40 minutes. Starting tonight we are able to extend our time and also record our calls. Praising Jesus for donations to the ministry enabling us to have a paid subscription through Zoom.
