Good Morning Sisters,
WOW!!! This message was exactly what we needed last night! The Lord has certainly brought Jen to a new place of contentment with Him and you can feel it when she speaks. The JOY and PEACE that exudes from her is captivating. Her Words were sugar to our soul. If you missed the call I strongly encourage you to listen to the recording. (her notes are also included below)
Jen opened in prayer and then plunged into her message. The theme of her teaching was “Dios Provee”. This means “God Provides” in Spanish. HE is the manna we always need. She talked about what a SWEET SEASON this is with the Lord.! A season of great provision and abundance. As we’re pressing into Him He is providing EVERYTHING we need. With Him there is an endless supply. He is like an ocean that never runs out. He is the cornerstone, the foundation. So many are rejecting Him today yet He is the One we need. (Isaiah 28:16, Corinthians 3:11).
She taught us about the life of George Mueller. He was a modern day Enoch, a man who truly walked with the Lord. He was a missionary that lived in the 1800’s who built schools and orphanages. George was the son of a lawyer and a rebel until the age of 20. Someone invited him to a Bible study and he became a believer. His story is truly remarkable. I won’t convey all the details here but Jen does a beautiful job of recounting his life. He read the Bible 4 times a year and 200 times in His lifetime. He built 5 homes which housed over 2,000 orphans at a time, over 10,000 in his lifetime. He did it all on his knees through prayer. He said that the key to His life was the Word of God, “I was satisfied with God.” In other words, God was enough for Him. His goal in life was to glorify God by helping people. It was the deep satisfaction of God that set Him free from the lusts and cares of this world. He believed that everyone is invited and commanded to trust the Lord and call on Him in the day of trouble. He had radical, joyful faith.
He didn’t start traveling the world until he was 70 years old. He traveled over 200,000 miles for the next 23 years preaching God’s Word. He died at 93 with no sickness or disease in his body. When asked what the secret to his youth was he said…” Guard your heart and make sure there is no bitterness or resentment against anyone. 2) Read the scriptures as they have restorative power over your body.”
He recorded 55,000 answered prayers and 30,000 of those were answered IN THE SAME DAY and HOUR he prayed. He believed we should record the gifts of God as we need to REMEMBER THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD. This is one of the reasons I LOVE these prayer calls as it reminds us of how very good our Abba is.
How has God proven His faithfulness in your life? Are you recording His gifts? After listening to Jen tonight I am going to be very intentional in this area. Jen ended the call with TRUST AND OBEY. We must trust Him before we will obey Him. Our trust in Him is strengthened as we invest time each day remembering ALL He has already done in our lives.
TONIGHT WAS SIMPLY AMAZING!!!! THANK YOU Jen for your faithfulness. This Word was right on time!!!
Stacy Rank will lead our prayer call this Sunday, July 12th. Our focus each Sunday is praying for our nation.
