Message to the Women of Faith

Updated: Jan 8, 2020

Good Morning Sisters,

Our last study of 2019 was A-MA-ZING!!! It was all about LIGHT! And oh how His light was shining in you and through you Wed. night! LOVED seeing all the new faces! A very warm welcome to Martha, Rebecca, Isabelle and Courtney. God’s light of love was abounding! When God’s light shines darkness must flee! Depression, anxiety and worry MUST GO! The comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit washed over our souls like a warm ocean breeze and carried our burdens out to sea. It’s truly incredible to see so many women of different ages and walks of life come together in love. Nights like these give you a glimpse of the beauty and majesty of what our life in Heaven will look like.

Last night we exposed the lies of the enemy and found that one of the greatest ways he attacks us is through the lie of "loneliness." He tricks us into believing that we are alone in this world and that no one really cares about us. This lie leads to feelings of hopelessness, fear and depression. These feelings are heightened over the holidays as the wounds of our past rise up. Exposing this lie to the light of God's truth and love cast out the darkness. The Lord showed me in January of this year how important it was to walk closely with Him and with one another. What we have goes far beyond a weekly Bible Study, it goes far beyond friendship, we are connected in our Spirits by the love of Christ. HE is our light, HE is the glue that holds our lives together. What we share goes beyond this temporal world. It goes beyond mere human understanding. It's really indescribable as God's love cannot be described or explained...only experienced.

We are nearing the end of our “Girls with Swords” study. We only have four chapters left. We will finish in January and start a new one in February (details to come). It’s so interesting to look back on the past seven years and see God’s hand in each one...His timing, His guidance and His direction. This Girls with Swords study was chosen by God to challenge us and to prepare us to move forward in our faith; to teach us how to stand firm and position ourselves for the coming harvest of 2020. Just in the past two weeks we are seeing doors open and God’s favor super abounding. Prayers are being answered, hearts are being healed. We are living in very prophetic times.

Next Wednesday, December 18th is our annual Ministry Christmas Party!!! Let’s celebrate the birth of our Savior together! Please bring your favorite food item to share (Sign Up Genius was sent out by Stacy) and an ornament to exchange. Judith will open up the night for us with dance. The night will be filled with lots of great food, fellowship and fun.

I’m making chili, brie puffed pastry with apricot preserves and holiday punch. My girls are so excited as they only get the punch on Christmas! :-)

Make sure to check out my other blog post for my notes on Chapter 10 of "Girls with Swords". This is a very rich chapter full of wisdom and truth. I loved how Lisa used her own story of brokenness to explain the power of discernment and intercession. God redeemed her choices by placing a couple in her life that made her feel welcome and safe. Where others saw darkness, they saw light. Now look at this lady...a well known author and speaker who is empowering women all over the world, of all ages to find their identity and purpose. The man who became a father figure in Lisa’s life is the reason she is impacting millions for Christ today. Who will you impact? When we touch one life it is NOT just one life we touch. It is generations.

Can't wait to celebrate with you next Wed!!! Merry Christmas!!!

Love,

Sherry :-)
