When my daughter, Lauren, was 4 she got very sick. After visiting the doctor we headed straight for the pharmacy to get the required prescription. In the waiting area was an elderly woman and her friend. As soon as we made eye contact the Holy Spirit spoke to me, "I want you to tell her about me". I was like, "um, no, that's just scary, what do I even say?" Honestly, how do you begin that conversation with a complete stranger? About ten or fifteen minutes went by and the voice in my head and my heart got louder and I began to sweat! I knew what I had to do but didn't know how to begin the conversation.

As soon as we made eye contact the Holy Spirit spoke to me, "I want you to tell her about me".  I was like, "um, no, that's just scary, what do I even say?"

Lauren, my middle daughter, is a natural beauty with blue eyes like the sky that light up her whole face when she smiles. She was wearing a powdery sky blue winter coat that had a huge fur hood that brought out the blue in her eyes even more. The woman made eye contact with Lauren and that's how the conversation began. At first it was small talk but a minute or two into our chat I began to sweat even more! I gave into the Holy Spirit and before you know it I was kneeling on the floor in front of this woman's chair and told her what the Lord has asked me to share with her! We both began to cry. She looked at me and said, I used to be a believer and walked with a God, but then I walked away and did my own thing. I'm ashamed of myself and the things I've done and who I've become. We sat and talked for a while and I shared with her how the Lord was calling her back to Himself and that He has forgiven her sins through the blood of His son. We prayed right then and there, and in that moment she was made whole again as she came back to the safe arms of her loving Heavenly Father.

Through our chat I found that she lived less than a mile from me, and I invited her to come to church with us. On Sunday morning when I picked her up she looked so beautiful and happy. After service my friend Suzanne saw her (Phyllis) and literally screamed! I turned around to see what was going on. Suzanne and Phyllis both made a bee line to each other shouting with excitement and hugging on each other so strongly I was amazed! It turns out they had been friends through work almost twenty years ago and had lost contact with each other.

God is so very faithful. He not only restored Phyllis's life in a moment in the pharmacy, but had given her a token of His faithfulness by bringing her wonderful friend back into her life! They remained very close until the day the Lord decided to bring Phyllis home a few years later. I am so thankful the Lord chose to use me as a vessel of His love and forgiveness and I look forward to seeing my new friend Phyllis on the other side of glory.
