Living Above Anxiety & Stress

How do I receive God’s grace for all of life’s demands? Is it possible to live above anxiety and stress? How do I practically walk under grace everyday and not under law?
Grace is all about supply. Law is all about demand. The law (Old Covenant) says “you shall not, you shall not, you shall not.” In the New Covenant (grace) God says “I will, I will, I will”. The law demands righteousness but grace supplies righteousness to sinfully bankrupt men. In grace, whatever you lack God supplies. Your part is to believe and receive. John 1:16 says “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.”
Jesus is full of grace... unmerited, undeserved favor for all of us. Think of the endless waves crashing on the shores of a beach...one wave after another.
All of us have so much brokenness in our lives, with holes in our hearts and our souls. God’s grace comes in like that wave into those broken, empty places and fills them up. Grace fills up the crevices and cracks of our souls and in our hollow and broken hearts. Wave after wave of grace comes crashing into those broken places filling them with His love and goodness. This goodness was released at the cross when Jesus Christ cried “it is finished.” The veil separating God’s presence (the Holy of Holies) from sinful man was torn from top to bottom. All of the pent up goodness, love and grace from God was released. It was not only released out of mercy but it was released judicially for all man. Right now God loves you and can make you righteous while maintaining His own righteousness. It's all based on the finished work of Jesus.
So the practical way to walk in grace each day is to wake up each morning conscious of His supply. “Jesus supplies the grace I need today.” For example, let’s say your boss asks you to do a presentation in front of hundreds of people and you’ve never done one in front of even two people. He is giving you an opportunity to shine. How do you respond? If you’re demand minded you will be under stress. But if you’re grace minded you will realize that God gives you wave after wave of His grace and supply. You say “Father I may be a shy person but I receive your grace of boldness. Father I do not know what to say but I receive your grace of wisdom. Father I don’t know how to impress these people and I won’t even try to. I receive your grace of favor with them. I don’t have to compromise my convictions. I just trust you for favor. I receive it.” You will walk into that presentation free from stress and you will see God’s hand of favor join you.
What are you faced with today? Or this coming week or month? Are you afraid of what’s in your future?
God does not want you to worry about tomorrow as it will have its own troubles (Matthew 6:25-34). Every single day God gives you grace for the day. He does not give you the grace for tomorrow today. This is seen with the children of Israel when they were wandering in the wilderness. Every single morning by the time they woke up there was Manna. It fell on the dew on the ground so that it was always kept fresh. If they tried to store it up it would decay.Manna was champions food, angel’s food...the bread of Heaven. It fell every single day but there was a special provision made for the 6th day. On the 6th day a double portion of manna fell so that the people could rest in the 7th day and go to church and spend time with their families. Today, the world tells us that the more we work and “do” the more we have. But God is telling us to trust HIM for our supply. He will give us a double portion on the 6th day. The Bible says that 1,000 years with the Lord is like one day. Our day today is 6,000 years from Adam. Adam to Abraham is 2,000 years, Abraham to Jesus is another 2,000 years, from Christ to now is another 2,000 years. So if 1,000 years is like one day then we’re on the 6th day. WE are the generation that will see the DOUBLE SUPPLY! Double portion of goodness, double portion of grace. Quit looking at other generations and comparing yourself to them. We appreciate and respect what the early Christians have done for Jesus but we are not to look behind we are to look forward. We are the generation of the double portion.. double health, double prosperity in all areas of our lives! THIS my friend is right believing! When you listen to the world you will hear only things that are natural. The world is confined to the natural. “1 in 5 Americans will suffer this, 1 in 4 will die of that.” The more you listen to this the more you forget you’re a child of God.
You must remember that YOU are a child of God and that you are IN the world but not OF the world. You are of the kingdom of God. You don’t depend on the resources of the world. You depend on the resources of God. The world will tell you that when you come to a certain age you will have senior moments and start forgetting things, your hormones will decrease and you will have less energy and strength. This is why I mute the TV during commercials as most are negative. Many are drug companies telling us what we have or could get. They instill fear, worry and doubt. This thinking does NOT agree with what God says. He says in Deuteronomy 33:25 “As your days, so shall your strength be.” The more your days increase so shall your strength be. This is opposite of the world. It says the longer you live the less energy you have, the less health you have and you should accept that. NO! NO! NO! This is NOT what God says! He says you get stronger as you age! The Bible says Moses lived to be 120 years old and his eyes did not grow dim nor his natural force abated. (Deuteronomy 34:7). In other words, he got better and stronger with age!
You have two choices here. You can either believe what God says about aging or you can believe what the world says. There is no middle ground. You can choose to believe right (align with God) or believe wrong (align with the world). God says you grow stronger as you age. The world says you grow weaker as you age. You WILL have what you BELIEVE.
In order to have God’s blessings you must BELIEVE God’s word. When you believe what HE says as opposed to what the world says you ENJOY His blessings. God is providing, God is supplying, God is blessing. God is saying as your days increase so shall your strength! Do you believe this? If so, then start releasing the promise through your mouth! Start speaking “As my days increase so shall my strength! I get stronger with each passing day. I have more energy and my hormones are balanced. As Jesus is so am I.”
God is supply oriented my friend. He is the vine and we are the branch! HE is our source! God is good to us because HE IS GOOD!
When we realize that God is good to us even when we are bad God’s goodness makes us good. God’s heart is to supply your lack, heal your disease, restore your relationships and give you your breakthrough. His part is to supply. Your part is to BELIEVE and RECEIVE!
In Christ,
Sherry:-)
