Freed from Anxiety and Fears

Sherry Braswell Ministries has had a huge impact on my life in so many ways.

My family moved to North Carolina six years ago, not knowing anyone but trusting God had amazing plans for us. We enrolled our children in Grace Christian School where I volunteered on various committees. Serving in the lunchroom and with recess duties I had the opportunity to meet some amazing women. Through these friendships I began to volunteer at Thrift to Gift Ministries. This is where I first met Sherry Braswell. I remember seeing her and thinking she was so beautiful, happy, warm and loving. Shortly thereafter our daughters had a field trip and God placed Sherry and I in a group together. I was in the process of a weight loss journey and overridden with fear and anxiety. Sherry began to walk that journey with me, praying and talking with me. That is where our friendship began to grow and blossom. She would point me to God truths and taught me how to fight when the enemy would attack. She gave me daily affirmations to speak over my life.

I could see the changes in my thought life! Because of this priceless gift I was able to lose 110 pounds in 11 months! I was freed from all anxiety and fears. I have been blessed to walk alongside other women and their health journeys to lose weight. My relationship with my husband of 21 years is stronger than ever. He is no longer traveling 52 weeks a year. Work finds him and he is now working from home. This year he was asked to be the Head coach our son's home school basketball team. I see God healing his brokenness and restoring the joy the enemy stole from him as a child. I was able to trust God to home school my children for the last 3 years. Our son is still homeschooling at Liberty University Online. Our daughter just began college classes at our local community college. Both of my children are thriving emotionally, physically and spiritually. After many heart wounds that needed healing my relationship with my mother was restored. My mother, who just turned 60 is now freed and has been able to lose 75 pounds. She has helped her sister lose 60 pounds, and had got her parents to attend one church service. I believe that generational curses have been broken in our family through God's grace. I believe the teaching that I received from attending our weekly life group at Sherry's home gave me the right believing and knowledge of who Jesus is. I grew up as a deacon's daughter in a Baptist church. Today I no longer believe in religious doctrines. For the first time I have a a deep and intimate relationship with my heavenly Father. I now understand that I am his beloved Daughter and that I can walk freely with Christ-confidence.
