21 Days of Praise and Fellowship: Day 20

Good Morning Sisters,

“Each night we have received a nugget of truth for this season we are in", ...says Jen.  And tonight I think it was a boat load full of nuggets! Even the yellow shirt she was wearing reflected God’s glory! He wants us to know how anchored we are in Him and that HE is our source! We can trust Him. The only thing that is impossible for Him to do is to lie. In Joshua 21:45  “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.”

Jen’s message tonight was entitled “Melchizadek meets Jericho.” I have included her notes below.

It is a very timely message as TOMORROW is PENTECOST!

Who was Melchizedek? From a worldly perspective, Melchizedek was the king of Salem (later called Jerusalem). He was said to be without an earthly father, mother, or ancestry, without beginning of days or end of life. Similarly, Jesus, “the Son of God,” has no beginning and endures forever. His heritage is rooted in the eternal King.

Not only was he a king he was also a priest. His identity was both King and Priest. This was unusual as human beings could not be trusted with excessive or unchecked power. The functions of king and priest were kept separate in Israel. But this does not apply to sinless Jesus Christ. Jesus could be Priest and King. This title fits Jesus Christ, who made peace between sinful people and a holy God and rules over a holy Kingdom.

Why is this message so on point two days before Pentecost?

Melchizadek is a type of prophetic picture of Christ. The Lord wants us to know that our time is short and He is coming SOON!!! We are now at the end of the 2,000 year church age. Everything that happens in God’s redemptive plan happens during the fall feasts. As Prophet Lana Vawser said in her latest post “Pentecost will be a marker of a major shift into a time for the “MANIFESTATIONS OF HIS MAJESTY”.

Jen also shared about the importance of getting out of our comfort zones. She gave two examples in her own life...one when she went on the World Race and the other when she was asked to lead the GRACE worship team.

It’s GET OUT OF THE BOAT TIME! In this new era we’re going to be asked to do things that we are not going to feel equipped or prepared to do but we must remember WE ARE NOT ALONE! The Spirit of God will guide you. Something you would have never signed up for could become that thing you LOVE!

I really loved the way she explained the “orphan heart”, knowing who you are in the Lord. I believe our identity is something we all struggle with. She explained how she has been on the journey of her own orphan heart and how God had used our ministry to help heal it. It was really beautiful the way she described it. What are some of the ungodly beliefs you have? lies that you have believed? One of the lies the enemy had whispered in her head was that she was not wanted.” The Lord reaffirmed her with the words “you are necessary.” The enemy didn’t want her to be in community, fellow shipping with other believers as he saw the mantle God had placed on her to impact the nations. One of the things I love most about Jen is her obedience and heart to serve others. She has such a passion to share the gospel. She wants to be a missionary in Thailand. She said the wait had been a weight of glory. WOW!!! THAT is the perspective we all need to have when we wait. That statement pierced my heart as I know it came straight from the throne room of God.

At the end of the evening we listened to “The Good Grace” by Hillsong. (lyrics below). She asked us to walk around our rooms 7 times praying for promises, China, and our nation. I loved the story of the toilet paper rolls and how she saw “rolls of God’s promises coming!”

“I  used to use empty toilet paper rolls in my apartment when I lived by myself - to represent promises I was believing for and I would march around them or pray for them - one roll had a little paper on it and I called that the one with my wedding dress believing for my hubby - the funny thing is that when I got a roommate - she used to give me toilet paper sometimes as a gift and it really blessed me and a full roll to me is a fulfilled promise and now that toilet paper has become even more important.”

Joshua 6:15 “On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. 16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city! 17 The city and all that is in it are to be devoted[ to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent. 18 But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. 19 All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.”

“Every act of faith has helped me get to where I am today. We’re getting ready to enter the Promised Land.” Jen

Today is day 20 (only 2 days from Pentecost). Stacy Rank will be leading.

Jen’s Notes

Melchizedek: A Type of Jesus Christ – 7:1-3 This mysterious Old Testament figure is thought by some to be a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ, called a Christophany. There is insufficient evidence to confirm or reject this view. He is at least a “type” or prophetic picture of Christ in titles, offices and heritage. ■ Titles: Melchizedek was most likely a title meaning “King of Righteousness.” It is a proper title for Jesus, who is “our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”19 Melchizedek was also “king of Salem,” meaning “king of peace.” “Salem” likely also meant Jerusalem. This title fits Jesus Christ, who made peace between sinful people and a holy God and rules over a holy Kingdom. ■ Offices: Melchizedek’s identity as priest and king is unusual but important. The functions of king and priest were kept separate in Israel. Fallen human beings cannot be trusted with excessive or unchecked power, but this does not apply to sinless Jesus Christ. Jesus could be Priest and King because He was a priest according to the order of Melchizedek, not Aaron. Jesus alone is qualified to be both Priest and King forever. ■ Heritage: There is no written ancestry or age for Melchizedek or his descendants, which was a rabbinic way of argumentation toward Melchizedek’s superior priesthood because it was tied to no lineage. Similarly, Jesus, “the Son of God,” has no beginning and endures forever. His heritage is rooted in the eternal King

Melchizadek meets Jericho

The Anchor has been on my mind:

ANCHOR - AHOY

Really appreciate all that you have shared - each night I pick up nuggets of truth - carry with me into the next season - no word returns void from the heart of God so I want to thank all of you for sharing!!! This time has been SO SWEET!!!

HEBREWS IS A CALL TO ENDURANCE

God’s Faithful Promise

13 Now when God made a promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater than himself, he swore an oath on his own integrity[u] to keep the promise as sure as God exists! 14 So he said,

“Have no doubt, I promise to bless you over and over,  and give you a son and multiply you without measure!”

15 So Abraham waited patiently in faith and succeeded in seeing the promise fulfilled.[v] 16 It is very common for people to swear an oath by something greater than themselves, for the oath will confirm their statements and end all dispute. 17 So in the same way, God wanted to end all doubt and confirm it even more forcefully to those who would inherit his promises. His purpose was unchangeable, so God added his vow to the promise. 18 So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change!

And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope! 19 We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat[w] which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold,[x] 20 and where Jesus, our forerunner,[y] has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek.[z]

We are anchored heavenward - James 1: ask for Wisdom - God gives generously to all without finding fault- but we must believe and not doubt

THE ONLY THING impossible is for God to lie;)

“Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.” Joshua 21:45

Took from BSF notes from this year:

“You are a priest forever.”7 All priests in Aaron’s line served until 50 years old8 unless they died earlier. But Christ is in “the order of Melchizedek.”9 This name signals several things. Here, it signals the eternal nature of Christ’s role as great High Priest.

You couldn’t be from the tribe of Judah and be a priest -

*tribe of Judah - appointed anointed

A friend told me a few years back that there is something for me

outside my comfort zone - ship - safe harbor- but that is not what we are made for: I operate in divine appointment/ Spirit led mode

When I debated the world race - I was like sounds great I couldn’t do it and God told me to go in 3 days - 2 times I questioned it . The first time I got an email from a mom that morning that I hadn't taught their kid in a while that said God wants you to obey whatever He is calling you to do. Then the next time I doubted I was in the bathroom at work in the office workroom at my old school.. I came out - a postcard was in my box with a quote from Mother Teresa saying I am only a pencil in his hand, he does the writing and the thinking. I was like, woah! Okay Lord!:)

Same happened when Mrs. Thompson asked me to lead GWT- Grace Worship Team - I pretty much said no - I couldn’t do it, and in 3 days God told me to do it - and now I love it!

Divine appointments -

One time at a Todd White power and love conference, I was learning how to prophesy and we were speaking over a lady who was praying for her grandaughter and I got the word peacock, but didn't want to say it. However, when I did, she broke down crying and said, YES! That is what my granddaughter is like! It's so good to trust the Spirit and just see, you never know how a word He gives you might bless someone!

*testimony of guy at the pool -I got a word for a guy that he had a heart of worship like David. And he said my name is David and I am a worship leader. It blessed him, and it blessed me that God spoke through me that day.

I love what Elaine shared last night that the Lord is going to help us and give us what we need each day with his grace - daily manna for this next season

He is healing Orphan Hearts!

IDENTITY -

Churches - feeling - belonging -

Restoring the Foundations -

Identify ungodly beliefs - renounce them and replace them with TRUTHS about how God sees you and you wait on Him to get those

And they even have you picture yourself going to see the Lord at the end - and the interesting thing was that when I got to the Lord, I was afraid that He didn’t want to see me

So that was a good revelation -

*Rejection -

Hurt in community - healed in community - this community has been so healing for so many of us. Example - ungodly beliefs -

I am not wanted - I am necessary

I won’t be healed - God wants my healing even more than I do

Banquet table with my hands under - God is saying take the cup take what is yours

Enemy - I remember one night I pulled up to my small group and felt so oppressed I left and couldn’t even go in.

It’s so cool now to see how far God has brought me in healing my heart - but there is still room for growth.

I think I have a fear of committing to things sometimes for fear of failure

There is often a time between

CALLING - training - waiting process - missionary - after world race

Teaching - Christian school - God has been doing so much in me during this time and through those He has placed in my life I wouldn’t change it

The waiting - is training and wait of glory - weight of glory

It’s in his kindness that He doesn’t launch us until we are really ready, and He knows the perfect time for everything

On the World race in Penang Malaysia - they have Penhop which is like IHOP International house of prayer

The night I was there they were having powerful intercession and worship and they were praying for China and I felt led to go up the to microphone and pray for China - I read Joshua 6:

10-17 - great wall of china - wall fall down

And God told me to march around the room 7 times that night praying in the spirit so I did and each time a person joined me -

At the end of this call - I want us to march around our room (sherry had us do this one time when I was at Bible study before and it blessed me) and pray in the spirit/ to the Lord for Hong Kong which is on my heart today and for our nation and definitely for the president!

Ravi Zacharias

(link to his memorial service today): Service attempted suicide when he was 17 - someone gave him a Bible in the hosptial -

World wide ministry impacted many -

- service today - his favorite disciple - thomas - because he was okay with people asking questions - The town the disciple Thomas was martyred in was the one Ravi Zacharias was born in in India over a thousand years later!

Ravi impacted SO MANY -

Lyrics to Good Grace: (by Hillsong)

Come together

Strange as neighbors

Our blood is one

Children

Of generations

Of every nation

Of kingdom come

Don't let your heart be troubled

Hold your head up high

Don't fear no evil

Fix your eyes on this one truth

God is madly in love with you

Take courage

Hold on

Be strong

Remember where our help comes from

Jesus

Our redemption

Our salvation

Is in His blood

Jesus

Light of heaven

Friend forever

His kingdom come

Swing wide

All you heavens

Let the praise go up

As the walls come down

All creation

Everything with breath

Repeat the sound

All His children

Clean hands

Pure hearts

Good grace

Good God

His Name is Jesus

PENTECOST: we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues - Acts 2:11

Pray as we march - I even used to use empty toilet paper rolls in my apartment when I lived by myself - to represent promises I was believing for and I would march around them or pray for them - one roll had a little paper on it and I called that the one with my wedding dress believing for my hubby - the funny thing is that when I got a roommate - she used to give me toilet paper sometimes as a gift and it really blessed me and a full roll to me is a fulfilled promise and now that toilet paper has become even more important - I felt like God highlighted that tonight that He is about to

I have done other acts of faith before - like I got this monogram made for my Bible when I felt like God had told me who my husband was going to be - I wouldn’t trade any act of faith because I believe every act of faith helps us get to where we are we walk by faith not by sight - and we never know what happens in the unseen place the place of faith even when we can’t see it - even when I don’t see it you’re working - COMPLETE works - 7 God keeps highlighting RAINBOWS!!!

PROMISED LAND!!!!!

CLAP - Holy Cadence holy habitation and momentum

He is filling the empty places with Himself all of His fullness - more Lord

When I left the room just now God said to leave the worship on - to marinate the room - recently a dear friend in Australia has really been growing in the Spirit and been on fire for the Lord in a new way and it has been so blessing me to get messages from her daily! God is on the move!
